Original recipe: When using one banana to make the banana bread was bland and hard. Hypothesis: If you use three bananas to make the banana then the bread will be sweeter and softer.

Independent variable: Banana

Dependent variable: The quality of banana bread

Control: All the factors are the same except for the number of bananas used, so that any observed changes in the bread can be attributed to the variation in the number of bananas. Constants: All the other ingredients to the bread recipe, oven used, rise time, brand of ingredients, cooking time, type of pan used, air temperature and humidity where the bread was rising, oven temperature


Materials: Modified Recipe

Bananas -3 Sugar-1cup Oil- ½ cup

All purpose flour- ¾ cup Wheat flour- ¾ cup Baking powder- ¼ tsp Baking soda-1 tsp Cinnamon powder- ¼ tsp Salt- pinch

Almonds- ½

Conclusion

The outcome of the experiment was very similar to the prediction made at the beginning of the experiment. If you use more bananas to make the banana then the bread will be sweeter and softer. I learned the independent variable is the cause. Its value is independent in the experiment. The dependent variable is the effect. I also learned about the chemical composition of the food, and providing the people eating it with different opinions.
